Cookies & Browser Storage
BidBack is operated by Jaeden Samia in Washington State, United States. This page supplements our Privacy Policy and explains storage used by the website and contractor workspace.
What These Technologies Do
Cookies are small records a browser can send with requests. Local storage keeps data in your browser for a website and does not expire automatically like a session cookie. These are different technologies, but both can contain personal information. Our application code primarily uses local storage rather than setting its own cookies.
Current Storage
- Sign-in and session: BidBack and Supabase store authentication/session information so the workspace can recognize you. Session credentials expire or refresh according to authentication settings; a local session record may remain until sign-out or clearing.
- Workspace and demo state: browser-local workspaces store estimates, templates, settings, and sample data on that device. This data may remain after sign-out. A cloud account also stores workspace information on our server; clearing your browser is not a server-side deletion request.
- Readiness checks and guide preferences: locally saved checklist selections, tour progress, and per-account guide dismissal preferences help retain your workspace setup progress on that device. These are not independent proof that live services have passed testing.
- Cookie notice acknowledgment: if you accept
essential-only storage,
bidback.privacy.v1records the notice version, essential-only choice, and acknowledgment time in local storage. It has no automatic expiry and does not authorize optional tracking. Clear site data to remove it.
BidBack's local storage has no fixed automatic expiry. Retention can differ for provider-managed sessions and cookies. Avoid using a shared device for customer information; sign out and clear site data when appropriate.
Advertising and Analytics
We do not currently install advertising pixels, cross-site behavioral advertising trackers, or a marketing analytics SDK. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Operational hosting/security logs are separate from browser storage.
Because we do not currently offer optional advertising/analytics categories, the cookie notice offers an essential-only acknowledgment, not permission for advertising. Choosing Accept essential only saves a versioned acknowledgment in this browser; Not now dismisses it for the current page without saving. This is not a declaration that every future tracker is essential. Before introducing optional tracking, we must update these disclosures and implement consent/opt-out controls as required by the applicable laws.
Third-Party Services
Google sign-in and Stripe checkout/billing pages may use their own cookies and storage under their policies. Supabase handles authentication; hosting/security services and external software/image resources can process normal browser requests. A link to a third party does not mean BidBack controls its storage. Use those providers' controls for their sites.
Your Browser Controls
Use your browser's site-data or privacy settings to inspect, block, or delete cookies and local storage for bid-back.com. Blocking storage may prevent sign-in or saving workspace state. Export needed records first; clearing local-only data may permanently remove it from that device. Sign-out alone does not erase every locally stored workspace record.
We do not currently change website behavior based on the older Do Not Track signal. Our no-sale/no-sharing-for-behavioral-advertising practice applies whether or not Global Privacy Control is enabled; we do not currently record a separate GPC preference. This does not describe signal handling on third-party websites.
California Privacy Choices
A cookie notice alone does not establish California-law compliance. The rights and controls required depend on the law and data practices involved. See the California section of our Privacy Policy for request information. Contact support@bid-back.com to ask about your data or browser storage; do not send passwords or tokens.
Changes
We will update the date and disclosures when storage practices change, with additional notice where required. Read our Terms of Service for use of the service.
